Reporting in....

Hello everyone:

TJ's blood counts are on the 'slow' rise again; Thank God! He is back on the lower doses of his two chemo meds that he takes at home. We return to the lab on Tues. to get his blood checked again. His liver counts are back down to normal; once again thank God! So now we begin again on this cycle of slowly rising him back up in chemo levels but this time they know we cant go back up as high as he was, which was still not full does as to what his prodicall ask for. We are going to have to more or less amend it to make it work for him. So complete remission has once again escaped our grasp. *Sigh*

No worries, we will get there it is just taking MUCH MUCH longer than anticipated. We remain positive and greatful that we have come along on this journey as far and as long as we have. We have been so blessed even with all the setback and road blocks we have run up against. Others have not been so lucky and that very fact helps to keep us grounded in our faith.

Thank you all for your love and support. At times this world is such a cold place to live and people tend to be only self consumed not wanting to lend a hand and help out or even just listen to give support. Those of you that come here on a regular basis have our deepest respect and thanks.

Update Sorry It's Been So Long!

Hello everyone:

First let me start by saying that I am sorry that it has been so long since I have updated with new information. Things have been hetic with the health situations here and just life in general, those are my only excuses.

Lets start with TJ's leukemia treatments. He has been off of his chemo for the last two weeks due to the fact that his liver once again took a nose dive at the higher levels of chemo he was taking. He once again had to go in for a blood transfusion. (the first in ALMOST a year) We were so excited at the prospect of being in remission soon that it is of course a huge let down to be starting this what seems to be endless circle of starting again with low doses of chemo BUT this is what has to be do some we just prepare for the trip around the circle again. BELIEVE AND STAY POSITIVE!

My health issues still cause me a lot of pain and I am trying so hard to be as productive as possible. The medications do help but of course it doesnt stop me from having my BAD days.

Hats are still coming in SLOWLY. We got two boxes today from dear friends of ours in Florida. Ill give you a count next update but it is just right around a bit over 11,000. So, if you have a hat or two that you are willing to part with please send it along.

Our new dog is doing well. She is a joy in our lives and we all love her. She is very smart and is learning to 'talk.' We are trying to teach her to say "I love you."

Aaron and Solomon are doing well! Solomon and I are to become GRANDPARENTS in March of 2009. Beth Ann is pregnant. So we are doing what we can to gather items for the baby to help and such, We do not know what she is having as of right now because she has not had a sonar done yet.
