Medical Update

TJ saw his doctors two days ago. He had a spinal tap done, his antibiotic breathing treatment and the normal interveinus chemos then started back on his steroids for this month. He is to return next week to the lab to have his blood and liver counts done to check and make sure he is ok and remaining stable. We hope that is the case but as of right now he is showing signs of that not being the case. He is very tired and has a hard time finding something that doesnt taste bad to him to eat. The chemo effects him in a way that it makes everything taste horrible and he cant even stomach the thought of eating most meats. Its a rough time of the month but we just get through it and look forward to a better week ahead next week. So please keep him in your prayers!

It's fall and everything is well

Hello everyone,

Well we have reached the ending of October, Halloween is near. The leaves have been falling and changing for a week or so now and some are bare already. It is beautiful and the smell is just so nice! We are relaxed this month. TJ has had the month off from returning to clinic for inpatient treatments. He starts off November with a Spinal and inpatient chemos. So we have been enjoying avoiding the needles and sickness that comes with all the side effects this month. It is so nice to get to slow down.

TJ is as I said doing well. His steroid week for this month is over (Thank GOD) and he is starting to get back to a semi normal sleeping pattern. They really mess with his eating and sleeping when he has to take them. He gets what the call metal mouth, meaning everything he eats tastes like metal and yet he is starving but doesnt want to eat. It is a not so nice situation.

Hats are still coming in here and there and we are adding to the collection. TJ is still derterminded that he is going to accomplish this goal and break that record. So remember if you have any hats laying around that you are not using please send them to us. Right now the total stands at just about 12 thousand. We have come so far but still have so much to go! We need your hat donations. THANK YOU!
